Saint Edward's Ministries

• Outreach Ministry: Provides help and services to the sick and elderly of the Parish. Chairperson, Anne Moriarty (978) 874-2345.
• Ministry of Music: Adult Choir, Teen Choir, Children's Choir & Cantors.

• Ministry of Hospitality: Welcomes new members to our community and
  provides contact to help integrate them into the Parish.
• Religious Education: Mrs. Kimberly Brillon at the Religious Education Office (978) 874-1559.
• Sacraments: For information about the sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation, please contact the Religious Education office.
• Children's Liturgy: Anna Richard.

• Baptism preparation: The Baptismal Workshop and Instruction for parents is held on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Resource Room. Preregistration for the session is required. Baptism preparation is for active parish members. Please contact the rectory.

• Marriage Preparation: Father Bill.
• Liturgical Ministry: Altar Servers, Lectors & Eucharist Ministers.
• Youth Ministry: St. Edward's Jr. Youth Group offers our middle school age children the opportunity to use their talents and time to help and serve others within the church and local community. Maggie Porpora, Paula Magee, Barbara Cudak.
  
• Family Life Miniseries: Janice Jacobsen.
• Baptismal Quilt Group: The Baptismal Quilt Group makes simple baby quilts which are presented to babies and their families at Baptisms. The quilts are personalized with a label with the baby's name and Baptism date. All fabric and instructions are provided. The group meets once a month, either to just pass in completed quilts and take home new kits, or to get together for an afternoon to work on the quilts. Sewers of all levels are welcome to join. We welcome people who can make just one quilt as well as people interested in a longer commitment. Chair: Janice Jacobson at 978-928-5010 for more information.
  
• World Responsibility: Keeping the Parish informed of the needs of people beyond our borders.
• Social Committee Of Saint Edward's: Ray and Loise Rathier.
• Fall Festival Committee: Chairman: Russ Brillon.
• Our Father's House Project: The community of Saint Edward's prepares and serves a meal to the people at Our Father's House in Fitchburg. Our Father's House serves men and women who are trying to get back into the workforce and face the challenges of trying to put aside enough money to get back on their feet. The 2nd Tuesday of the month. Sign-up in back of church. Chairman: Bob Hill.
• Respect For Life: Debra Hill, Janice Jacobsen.
• Communication: To contact, call the Rectory 978-874-2362.
• Community Food Pantry: The Food Pantry is open on Tuesday night and Thursday night from 6:30 PM -8:00 PM at the Congregational Church. Workers are needed for both evenings.
  
• Facilities Committee: Helps Father to identify improvements and repairs to the Parish Facility as well as review bids for work to be done in the Parish.
• World Mission Committee: Develop an overseas "Sister Parish" relationship that will help us become personally involved with sisters and brothers in another culture.
• Safe Environment Training: Coordinator Joyce Holroyd-McGuire, certification program for all new volunteers who work with children and youth of the parish.
• Scripture Group: Adult religious education and scripture study group. Coordinator: Joyce Holroyd-McGuire.
• Finance Committee: Russ Brillon - Chair.

• Men's Annual Retreat: A weekend of prayer, reflection and worship for the men of the parish.. Promoters Russ Brillon, Bob Thibeault and Jim Moriarty. To contact, call the Rectory 978-874-2362.
